Mrs. Lowenstein gave a brief overview of the labor of love behind the multi-million dollar collection of Latin American and European art that broke new ground for The Ritz-Carlton. It is the only Art Moderne-influenced art collection of any Ritz-Carlton in the world. She then invited the ladies on a tour of the art.

The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, which opened December 31, 2003 is Miami's newest oceanfront hotel and a complete restoration of an original 1953 Morris Lapidus-designed landmark hotel in the city's historic Art Deco district.

Its centerpieces include The Ritz-Carlton Spa with La Maison de Beauté Carita, a multi-million dollar art collection, the signature Americana restaurant, the DiLido Beach Club - the only oceanfront restaurant on South Beach, Tanning Butlers, VIP oceanfront cabanas and more. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of South Beach, only steps away from myriad dining, shopping, entertainment and nightlife options, including those on fashionable Lincoln Road, a thriving ten-block pedestrian mall.
