Palm Beach, Fla. — Palm Beach residents, Dame Celia Lipton Farris and Tom Quick co-hosted a luncheon on Monday, February 16 to honor HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. The luncheon was held at Mr. Quick’s Palm Beach estate home.

In February 2005, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation will host a golf tournament and series of events to benefit both charities and their work in the Palm Beaches, United States and worldwide. HRH Prince Edward is expected to be on hand for the 2005 event and was in Palm Beach to kick-off planning and to build awareness for the charities partnership premiere event.

Mr. Quick welcomed guests to his home for the luncheon and shared in the fact that his family has been involved with and supportive of the International Award Foundation for many years, introduced Dame Celia. Dame Celia thanked the Prince for coming as well as those gathered and shared with the crowd having memories of meeting the Prince when she sang before the entire royal family and one million people at London’s Hyde Park during a VE Day celebration.

HRH Prince Edward encouraged everyone gathered to take part in the 2005 event and shared some information about the Award Foundation and its work with youth and sports participation. Katie Carr, executive director of the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation shared information about the work being done, as well as the influence of the Foundation in helping with AIDS education and service programs in Florida.

Amongst the 40 individuals joining HRH Prince Edward, Dame Celia Farris and Tom Quick for the intimate luncheon were Barbara Berger, Bruce Bent, Daryl Glenny, County Commissioner Jeff Koons, and Carl Domino.

All of Grammy Night's Hottest Celebs flocked to the ultra exclusive VIP Hennessy Lounge, held at the Spider Club in LA sipping on Hennessy XO and Paradis, munching on chicken kabobs and mini cheeseburgers and dancing the night away. Not exactly Prince Edward's style. But definitely young Hollywood's way. Some of the guests: Christina Aguilera, R. Kelly, Paris Hilton, Kelly Clarkson, Ellen DeGeneres, Clive Davis, JC Chasez, Nick Carter, Carlos Santana. Impressed?!
