Los
Angeles based master glass sculptor Robert Guenther was well-received
yesterday
at the UES Puccio Gallery where he previewed his glass crafts, including
stunning vases and bowls. Tinsley Mortimer, Mario Buatta,
Annie Churchill, Douglas Hannant, Elisabeth Kieselstein-Cord, Zang
Toi, Nicole Miller, and Marc Bouwer invited their pals for the opening
of the master glass and crystal sculptor.

The white-hot
summer evening started with the Champagne Vueve Cliquot reception
at the gallery and continued with dinner
at the UES bastion
of cuisine, Swifty’s. Some of those who swarmed Swifty’s
for the corn fritters smothered in caviar, Sea Bass and Baked Alaska
decked out in sparklers to celebrate Douglas Hannant’s birthday
were his partner Frederick Anderson, Carmen Del’Orefice, Benjamin
and Andreza Price, Loren Lansky, Tony Bennett’s daughter Joanna,
designers, William Ivey Long, Mary McFadden, Annie Churchill
Luigi Tadini, Tinuola, and Alvin Alley as well as Elite’s Christine
Schott, Billy Goodman, Palm Beach Society’s Tom
Gates, The
Stars Zoe Alexander, the Mann Report’s Jeff
Mann, Sharon Walsh,
the restaurants debonair Robert Caravaggi, and Lucia
Puccio.
Donald Trump has a woodland scene etched in crystal for over his
bed that is said to have cost him over $100,000; Priscilla
Presley,
ordered interlocking P’s etched on the front door of her Bel
Air home, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone
all have Guenther’s birds of Paradise vase. Presidents George
H.W. Bush and William Jefferson Clinton both commissioned pieces
from the artist as have Prince Charles. A percentage of all sales
benefited the Pajama Program, an organization that donates new pajamas
and books to orphaned children. Yeah! |
