Wednesday night young New Yorkers came out to raise money for their
favorite cause du jour, The High Line. 600 guests
raised over $600,000 for the project. At the event they were treated
to a view of the 4 final proposals for how to transform the 1.5-mile
abandoned elevated rail into a thriving public space. Cocktails
were held at Diane Von Furstenberg's meatpacking
district studio and dinner was held at Phillips Auction house overlooking
the High Line.
Young politicos,
art world stars, bold-faced architects, celebrities, and party girls
all mixed it up in a beautifully designed space created by event
planner Bronson Van Wyck who is also a steering committee
co-chair along with Christopher Heinz and Alex Von Furstenberg.
Guests included Ahn Duong, Uma Thurman and Andre Balazs, Charles
Rockefeller, Rob Speyer, Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon, Barry Diller
and Diane Von Furstenberg, Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel, Jon
Patricof, Celerie Kemble, and founders Joshua David and
Robert Hammond.
