Movie
stars, supermodels, rockers, and social and fashion stars were at Soho House to join YSL and Jude
Law for a Grand
Classics evening
honoring Cinema and Alfie. The film, directed with impeccable style
and panache by director Charles Shyer, cements Jude’s place as
Hollywood’s hottest new heartthrob.
Eva Mendes, Helena Christensen, Graydon Carter (who has a cameo in
the film) and Anna Scott, Nicole Miller, Vanity
Fair director Mira
Nair, Debbie Harry, Rufus and Sally Albemarle, Helen and Tim Schifter,
Anne Slater and John Cahill, Marjorie Gubelmann Raein and Reza Raein,
Marina Rust and Ian Connor, Mary Alice Stephenson, John Varvatos, and Lillian
and Damian von Stauffenberg were all greeted at the evening’s
first screening by tuxedo-clad YSL models serving white cosmopolitans,
while old-fashioned cigarette girls served little bags of gold-wrapped
chocolates on big trays to everyone at their seats.
