Antiquarius is the annual week-long event that includes the prestigious Antiquarius Antiques Show, the Gala Preview Party, a lecture by a top interior designer, an antiques show gallery tour, booth talks, a holiday boutique at the Round Hill Club and a coveted holiday house tour of private homes throughout Greenwich. Antiquarius benefits Bush-Holley Historic Site and The Historical Society of the Town of Greenwich.

The Historical Society, more than any other organization, actively addresses important community issues that relate to the cultural heritage of Greenwich and lower Fairfield County. Antiquarius is the principal fund-raising event for the Historical Society. The proceeds especially benefit the education programs which, as a result of the generous support, can continue to be expanded and enhanced.

2004 marks the 47th year of Antiquarius and this year's events took place December 2-8 at the Greenwich Civic Center in Old Greenwich. Antiquarius raises more than $400,000 each year to support the Historical Society, which receives no funding from the Town of Greenwich. The Patron Party was attended by approximately 175 people, the Antiques Show Preview party was attended by more than 500 people, including 250+ Patrons and Corporate Sponsors. Approximately 3,000 people attended the Antiques Show.

Splashlight Studios was aglow in the aqua-tinted light projected through fish tanks swimming with marine life indigenous to the Mexican costal region as Patricia Quintana (Siete), Michelle Bernstein (MB), and Franco Maddalozzo (Azur) showcased samplings from their signature restaurants to be opened at Aqua, Mexico’s new destination.

A “Beach Oasis” with pure white sand beaches and rippling water was recreated to look and feel like Aqua Resort.

The resort is scheduled to open in December and will be a new concept for the luxury Fiesta Americana Grand brand—a fresh dimension in modern refinement, style and service.
