On
a Wednesday evening three weeks ago (November 17th),
a group of prominent young New Yorkers gathered at Marquee for
a cocktail
party and fundraiser for Judge Leslie Crocker Snyder.
The 225 attending were there to support Judge Snyder, who intends
to challenge the
85-year-old incumbent District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, in the
September 2005 primary. This was the second large event the Young
New Yorkers for Snyder Committee has held in the last 6 months,
raising in the process more than $100,000 to support the Judge
in her efforts.
Those attending heard a vigorous and impassioned speech focused on
innovative ideas and reforms for the DA's office. In the crowd: Nicholas
