Earlier this month, the Prospect Park Alliance Junior Committee held a night of ice-skating and time traveling back to 1987 at the Park’s outdoor Wollman Skating Rink. Djs from Park Slope’s Southpaw club spun hits from 1987, the year the Prospect Park Alliance was founded. Off the ice, the gang enjoyed spiked hot chocolate, snacks and drinks and game. Proceeds raised at the event support restoration and maintenance efforts around Prospect Park, including a much needed new rink.
