The
cosmetic and fragrance industry convened once again
in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf-Astoria on April 1 for the
March of Dimes 29th Annual Million Dollar Beauty Ball.

The
Grand Ballroom of The Waldorf

This year’s
black-tie event with a touch of a beach theme honored Bobbi Brown, founder and CEO of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics,
with the Beautiful Apple Award, and Dale Crichton, executive vice president,
corporate cosmetics
Nordstrom, as Retailer of the Year.
Proceeds from the Beauty Ball support the March of Dimes’ mission
to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant
mortality. Thousands of babies are born prematurely every year — reportedly
the nation’s leading obstetric problem and cause of newborn death.
The March of Dimes has dedicated the next five years to a $75 million initiative
to slow down this crisis. |
