January 1_26. Summing up the days of honor and kindness among us humans (and many of our other creature companions). And then there’re the Holiday Greeting cards that come this way annually and which we traditionally post on the first of the year.
When I was growing up they were called Christmas cards and the connections on the cards were religious paintings and illustrations — occasionally paintings of a religious nature — as well as Santa Claus and his helpers and Mrs. Claus.

In time everything changes, at least in style. Santa’s North Pole remains vague and cheerful in the image, but the contents of the images on today’s greeting cards now frequently are photos/images of the senders and their families or images from their environments (pets of all stripes included). As well as the Family Cards. A beautiful sight for all of us to see, to remind us of the “honor and kindness” and its beauty among us.
