2024 Gardeners’ Fair at Old Westbury Gardens

Old Westbury Gardens enthusiastically invites you to celebrate the glorious Spring season on Saturday, May 18th, with a festive Gardeners’ Fair benefit party chaired by Lynn Dixon and Jess Green. We are proud to honor J. Brian Sawyer of Sawyer Berson and Ed Hollander of Hollander Design, whose contributions to the world of landscape architecture and design have left an indelible mark, enriching the beauty and sustainability of our landscapes.

This year’s enchanting theme, “English Folly,” is a celebration of timeless elegance, as we honor the 65th Anniversary of the grand opening of Old Westbury Gardens. In the Spring of 1959, the Gardens opened its gates to welcome visitors and thus Peggie Phipps Boegner’s plan to create a public garden in her family’s honor came to fruition. The lively Gardeners’ Fair highlights the mission of Old Westbury Gardens, the ongoing preservation of this treasure in the Long Island community.
