Thursday, May 4, 2023, New York City, NEW YORK – Deborah Roberts, ABC News Correspondent and author of Lessons Learned and Cherished, will host The 92nd Street Y, New York’s 2023 Spring Gala, Monday, May 22, 6 pm ET, at Cipriani Wall Street, (55 Wall Street). This year’s theme marks our year-long celebration of 92NY’s sesquicentennial, “150 Years of Inspiration.” Cocktails are at 6 pm, followed by dinner and program at 7 pm.
The 92nd Street Y, New York will recognize exceptional individuals and celebrate the many ways in which donor support has sustained 92NY enabling us to serve our local and global communities like never before. All proceeds benefit 92NY and tickets are available here.
We will honor Sharon Corzine for her longtime support of Jewish life and education at 92NY and beyond; Lauren and Lee Fixel for their leadership and dedication to building community, supporting families and nurturing children through the programs of 92NY; and Anthony McGill for his contributions to the world of classical music, leadership in education and commitment to creating equitable access in the arts.
The festive evening will feature performances by mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins OBE, who will have recently performed at the coronation of King Charles III; tap dance innovator Michelle Dorrance and vocalist Aaron Marcellus.
The 2023 Gala Leadership Chairs are: Jody Gottfried Arnhold, Sandy Diamond, Gabriella and Jacob Elghanayan, Cheryl Minikes, Jessica and Jeremy Shell, George Schweitzer, and Wendy Siegel.
