A Conversation on Culture and Climate with Finn Harries

April 10 @ 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

On Wednesday, April 10 at 7pm, the Climate Museum will welcome designer and filmmaker Finn Harries for a special discussion about the role of design, culture, and media in the transition toward a regenerative, resilient, and just climate future.

Finn Harries is the co-founder of Earthrise Studio, a digital media company dedicated to communicating new ways of thinking about climate and culture. He is also the co-founder and Chief Designer of Juntos Farm, a new community space in the heart of Ibiza, Spain, dedicated to regenerative farming and local food production. Harries studied architecture, environmental studies, and urban design at Parsons School of Design, the Architectural Association in London, and the University of Cambridge. His research explores design for regenerative systems and frameworks for navigating climate breakdown. He has spoken at TEDx and the United Nations on the urgency for action on climate change and biodiversity loss, and his writing has appeared in The Guardian and Citizen Magazine.

In conversation with Climate Museum director Miranda Massie, Harries will discuss the intersections of climate and culture; what climate advocacy can look like in the digital world; and the transition towards a culture focused on regeneration, resilience, and justice.

This event is free and open to the public. For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be livestreamed on the Climate Museum’s Instagram account.
