The Ballinger Award was created in 1988 to honor the late Robert I. Ballinger Jr., former chairman of the Palm Beach Landmarks Preservation Commission. The Ballinger Award commemorates the restoration of a landmarked estate that best exemplifies the traditions of Palm Beach’s original house and celebrates the architects who designed them.
