The American-Scottish Foundation® invites members and friends to join for the 25th Annual Burns Night celebration, held in association with the University Club, New York, on Friday, January 17, 2020. The Burns Supper celebrates, in words and music, the immortal memory of Robert Burns and Scotland’s heritage. Our musical program will be led by the award winning young Scottish team of Claire McKenzie and Scott Gilmour of Noisemaker. We are also very honored that the historic Gregg Violin will be a part of the program, being played during the evening. 240 years ago Robert Burns’s dancing master, William Gregg, played the fiddle as he taught Robert Burns dance steps. Burns was a keen and capable fiddler himself, so it is likely that he also played Gregg’s instrument. With Glendronach Distillery offering the whisky tasting, a silentEvent Calendar
