Climate Museum and Atmos Present Discussion Exploring Nature, Queer Identity, and Gender Transition

February 29 @ 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Free

The Climate Museum welcomes Willow Defebaugh, cofounder and editor-in-chief of the biannual magazine and digital platform Atmos, for a conversation on her new book The Overview: Meditations on Nature for a World in Transition.

The Overview is a collection of essays, adapted from Defebaugh’s newsletter of the same name, that draws attention to the lessons nature teaches us about how we can create a better world for ourselves and others. In conversation with Climate Museum Director Miranda Massie, Defebaugh will discuss the new book, the practice of deep ecology, the lessons nature can teach us about queer and trans identities and the climate struggle, and methods of healing that will help move us forward.

Refreshments will be served. Following the conversation, books will be available for purchase and signing.
