The French Institute Alliance Française honors two extraordinary women at its annual gala. Iconic actress and musician Charlotte Gainsbourg will receive the Trophée des Arts, and Dominique Senequier, President of Ardian, will be presented with the Pilier d’Or. This extraordinary evening brings together figures from New York and France in celebration of cross-cultural partnership. Moreover, the event raises money for FIAF’s educational and cultural programs. Established in 1992, the Trophée des Arts distinguishes an artist who exemplifies FIAF’s mission of French-American friendship and cross-cultural exchange. It has been bestowed upon French and American artists and cultural icons. Previous recipients include François Cluzet, Alain Ducasse, Jacques Grange, Marc Jacobs, James Ivory, Angélique Kidjo, Philippe de Montebello, Robert Wilson, Françoise Gilot, Jeff Koons, Peter Marino, and, most recently, Jane Fonda. The Pilier d’Or, created in 2006, recognizes a leading business figure, diplomat, or philanthropist for outstanding contributions to the French-American community. Past honorees include Jean-Paul Agon (L’Oréal), Pierre Bellon (Sodexo), Thierry Breton (ATOS), Paul Desmarais Jr. (Power Corporation of Canada), Carlos Ghosn (Renault-Nissan Alliance), Fabrice Grinda (Internet Entrepreneur and Investor), Alexandre de Juniac (Air France – KLM), Jean-Bernard Lévy (Vivendi), Christophe de Margerie (TOTAL), Bernard Poussot (Wyeth), Sydney Toledano (DIOR), and Sébastien Bazin (AccorHotels).Event Calendar
