Figure Skating in Harlem’s 25th Anniversary Gala

The Figure Skating in Harlem (FSH) Silver Anniversary Benefit Gala, “Celebrating 25 Years of
Excellence & Sisterhood,” will take place on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Gotham Hall in New York City.
The event will honor five powerhouse women of color: Esi Eggleston Bracey, Chief Operating
Officer, EVP Beauty & Personal Care, Unilever North America, Lorine Pendleton, Lead Partner,
Portfolia Rising America Fund, and Bernice DeAbreu, the ‘godmother’ of Figure Skating in Harlem.
Legendary singer, songwriter, R&B and pop icon, Valerie Simpson and Actor and Humanitarian,
Whoopi Goldberg, will be honored with the Cicely Tyson Sisterhood Award. Other distinguished
honorees and guests include Olympic Gold medalist and three-time world champion figure skater Nathan Chen and members of the 2022 U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team. Our host for the evening will be Vladimir Duthiers from CBS This Morning. We look forward to celebrating an exciting and inspiring evening.
Figure Skating in Harlem helps girls, ages 6 – 18, transform their lives and grow in confidence,
leadership and academic achievement. Now in our 25th season, we are the only organization for
girls of color that combines the power of education with access to the artistic discipline of figure
skating to build champions in life.
