Brookfield Place will host Pop Up Flamenco as part of the 20th anniversary of the NY Flamenco Festival in the spectacular Winter Garden, bringing five days of extraordinary free programming presented by Arts Brookfield including an opening night flash-mob choreographed by Patricia Guerrero, which the public is invited to participate in. Thursday, March 12, followed by an opening night performance. For the Pop Up Flamenco, the surprise performers – all part of the Flamenco Festival – will be announced the night before and programs will include dance and rhythm workshops, music and dance concerts, and unique events throughout the 10-story glass atrium in Lower Manhattan. Artists may include Ismael Fernández Bolita, Javier Ibáñez, Santiago Lara, Antonio Lizana, Jonatan Miró, Mercedes Ruiz, Kike Terrón, Nelida Tirado, Paco Vega, Francisco Vinuesa, and special guest dancers!
