Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts, one of New York’s leading preservation organizations for more than 40 years, will present their annual Ambassador to the Upper East Side Award to Thom Browne, American fashion designer, and Andrew Bolton, curator in charge of The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, at a fundraising dinner at The Metropolitan Club on Tuesday, September 19. Alina Cho and Kent Barwick will serve as Honorary Chairs for the celebratory benefit dinner. Co-chairs will include Amy Fine Collins, Alexandra & Philip Howard, Jill & Harry Kargman, Christian Keesee and Larry Keigwin, David Kleinberg, Ann and John Pyne, and Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch. The organization recognizes Browne and Bolton for their contribution to preserving the majesty of the Upper East Side through the renovation of their home on Sutton Place, a Georgian townhome overlooking the East River designed in 1920 by Mott Schmidt for Anne Vanderbilt.Event Calendar
