Heart Failure Post-Acute Care: What’s New and Why is it Important?

On Thursday, December 19, 2019, Dr. Nomeda Balcetis, Attending Physician at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital’s cardiopulmonary program, will give a lecture on Heart Failure Post-Acute Care at The New Jewish Home’s Westchester skilled nursing facility, Sarah Neuman, in Mamaroneck, New York.

The New Jewish Home is a comprehensive, mission-driven health care system serving older New Yorkers since 1848.

Co-sponsored by The New Jewish Home and Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, the event is for post-acute health care professionals and social workers who are interested in learning about new findings and information about heart failure care.

One Continuing Education Unit credit will be offered to social workers attending the event.

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Balcetis is an expert in cardiac rehabilitation, and treats patients with heart disease, heart failure, respiratory conditions, diabetes and high blood pressure. She received her doctorate from Kaunas Medical Academy in Lithuania, and completed her fellowship in cardiology at the Kaunas Medical Academy before completing her residency at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital.
