Interactive Exhibit: Experience What It’s Like to Live with Schizophrenia

May 4 @ 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Free

Step into a FREE immersive, sensory experience designed to show what daily life can be like for people living with schizophrenia. Each room will highlight different symptom domains that those with schizophrenia may experience that you may not even realize are tied to schizophrenia, including: positive symptoms (e.g., hallucinations), negative symptoms (e.g., lack of interest in daily life) and cognitive symptoms (e.g., trouble with understanding concepts and completing tasks. Developed in collaboration with mental health experts and advocates, this educational experience is part of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Look Beyond Stable campaign which aims to dispel the misconceptions of those living with schizophrenia and raise awareness of the fact that even when stabilized on medicine, many of those living with schizophrenia can still struggle with daily tasks. Come join members of the mental health community in this interactive exhibit!
