Lori Belilove’s Isadora Duncan Dance Company returns to the historic and exquisite Untermyer Gardens in Yonkers for a program of signature dances by Isadora Duncan and Belilove, with the addition of “Tribute to Ukraine,” Belilove’s staging of Duncan’s 1924 work set to the Ukrainian National Anthem. Belilove, of Ukrainian descent, presents the work to honor the heroism, valor, and grit of the Ukranian people. Another special feature is “Ode to Wild Beauty,” a suite of dances by Duncan and Belilove inspired by the feminist aesthetic – heroic, maternal, maiden, and more.
