Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights was founded in 1968 by Robert Kennedy’s family and friends as a living memorial to carry forward his vision of a more just and peaceful world. RFK Partners for Human Rights, Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights’ litigation, advocacy, and capacity-building arm, builds multi-year partnerships with defenders and other human rights activists to advance social justice goals around the world. This is the 51st year of the Annual Ripple of Hope Awards. On December 12th, 2019 the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights will present the 2019 Ripple of Hope Award to U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, J. K. Rowling, renowned author of the Happy Potter series and founder of the children’s charity Lumos; Wendy Abrams, environmental activist and founder of Cool Globes, Inc; and Livongo Health Executive Chairman Glen Tullman.
