St. George’s Society of New York’s English Ball
April 25, 2019 @ 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM
St. George’s Society of New York—one of the oldest charities in America—will host its annual black-tie fundraiser, the English Ball on Thursday 25th April 2019, at Guastavino’s in New York City.
The Society will honor two distinguished individuals making an impact on the Anglo-American community on both sides of the Atlantic:
Bob Dudley, Group Chief Executive, BP
Medal of Honor
Tim Marlow, Artistic Director, Royal Academy of Arts
Anglo-American Cultural Award
Proceeds will benefit St. George’s Society’s charitable programs, which provide financial and emotional support for people of British and Commonwealth heritage in New York. First established in 1770 as a banquet to celebrate Saint George, the patron saint of England, the English Ball has been held with rare exceptions every year since and is now established as the premier Anglo-American social event in the city.
