Swedish Midsummer Festival

Presented by the Consulate General of Sweden, New York and Battery Park City Authority, the annual Swedish Midsummer Festival will return to Rockefeller Park to celebrate the summer solstice.

With a lively dance around the Midsummer pole led by Ross Sutter, a Scandinavian folklorist, a floral wreath making station, a parade, traditional Swedish music by Paul Dahlin and fiddlers from the American Swedish Institute children’s games, and more all set against a backdrop of vibrant decor, the Midsummer Festival is a perfect event to kick off the summer season. Traditional Swedish food, candy, and beverages will be available for purchase.
