Come celebrate 4 decades of polo tradition with us at the oldest alumni polo match in America. Every year, attendees from all over the Tri-State area and beyond enjoy a day of tailgating, dancing, and competitive polo between alumni from Yale and University of Virginia.

Prizes will be awarded for the Best Hat, Best Outfit, Best Tailgate, and Best Dog. Alumni from ALL schools are welcome and invited to attend.

EVENT SCHEDULE:
10:00AM – Gates Open / Tailgating Begins
11:00AM – VIP Tent Opens
12:00PM – Polo Match
2:30PM – Awards Ceremony
3PM – DJ & dancing
6:00PM – Last bus back to the LIRR train station leaves

If you’re not driving to Bethpage, the best way to get to the Harriman Cup is to take the Long Island Railroad (51 minutes) from Penn Station to Bethpage, which leaves every hour at 0:29 on the Ronkonkoma line. If you take the train from Grand Central to Bethpage, you will NEED TO SWITCH at Jamaica. Free shuttle buses will take you from the train station to the polo match.

Attendees are invited to set up their own tailgates during the match. Food and soft drinks will also be available for purchase at the event. If you want to leave the cooler at home, all Harriman Cup attendees have the option of purchasing passes to the VIP Tent, which features open bar and buffet lunch, beginning at 11AM.

The funds garnered from this year’s Harriman Cup benefit the undergrad polo programs at both UVa and Yale.
