The ALS Association Greater New York Chapter will host their 25th Annual Lou Gehrig Sports Awards Benefit on Thursday, November 7th at 6:30PM at the New York Marriott Marquis (Broadway at 45th Street). Cocktails and silent auction will begin at 6:30PM, followed by dinner and an awards presentation. Jeremy Schaap will serve as master of ceremonies. Honorees include NBA All Star and Olympic Gold Medalist Carmelo Anthony and New York Giants tight end Evan Engram. The Jacob K. Javits Lifetime Achievement award will be presented to Michael J. Dowling, President and CEO of Northwell Health and, in memoriam, Janet Riccio, former Executive Vice President, Omnicom Group Dean of Omnicom University. In honor of the 25th anniversary for the ALS Association Greater New York Chapters Lou Gehrig Sports Awards Benefit, the Chapter has created the Iron Horse Award, which will be presented to Bob Costas and, in memory of Dick Schaap, for their dedication to the organization As one of the ALS Association’s leading chapters, the Greater New York Chapter serves people living with ALS and their families throughout New York City, Long Island, Westchester, Hudson Valley, and North & Central New Jersey. The Greater New York Chapter plays a major role in promoting the ALS Association’s to discover treatments and a cure for ALS, and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.Event Calendar
