The Fortune Society, Hope & Justice Annual Gala

This year’s online Virtual Gala will honor our frontline heroes, Fortune staff members who are working tirelessly to ensure people are receiving the support they need during this tumultuous time. We will also honor Vice Media Group with the Game Changer award. The evening will also feature special guests including Senator Cory Booker and Eric H. Holder, Jr., 82nd Attorney General of the United States and Chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee highlighting Fortune’s role in improving the criminal justice system as we face unprecedented health challenges and widespread reckoning of the racial injustices affecting our communities.

For more than 50 years, The Fortune Society and our committed staff have supported formerly incarcerated people, helping over 9,000 individuals annually, with the services they need to break the cycle of incarceration. Our team is built from those with lived experience – many of our employees have histories of incarceration, substance use, or have experienced homelessness. With your support, we strive to embody our mission by being role models for our participants and offering new chances.
