Valentina Kozlova International Ballet Competition

Valentina Kozlova, former principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet and New York City Ballet, brings her Kozlova International Ballet Competition to The Kaye Playhouse, April 18-21. Over 100 classical ballet and contemporary dancers from around the world will dance for awards, company contracts, and scholarships to international dance academies. Charles Jude, former etoile with the Paris Opera Ballet, returns as President of the Jury.
Opening day, April 18, will begin with a short 1:30 pm performance by the State Ballet of Georgia, directed by Nina Ananiashvili (also one of the judges), and continue with the Classical Ballet competition;
April 19 begins at 2 pm for Contemporary and Neo-Classical Dance;
April 20 begins at 2 pm with Finals for Classical Ballet;
April 21 at 7 pm is the Gala Performance, which features a duet for Kozlova and Ricardo Scheir and an appearance by the Joffrey Ballet Concert Ensemble, directed by Bradley Shelver.
Audience members may take breaks and re-enter the theater during Rounds.
