YMCA of Greater New York Heroes of New York Gala

The YMCA of Greater New York’s annual Heroes of New York Gala returns to The Metropolitan Museum of Art on June 13th, featuring a special performance by Billy Porter and music from legendary hip-hop artist Grandmaster Flash throughout the evening. This year’s honorees include New York Life, Deloitte and John Starks. All proceeds from the Gala will support all of the YMCA’s community services and programming, such as the Rowe Scholars program, the Y’s flagship initiative for college access and career development for New York City high school students, which this year celebrates its 10-year anniversary.

Adding to the excitement, the Gala will introduce the inaugural Heroes of New York Gala After Party. Attendees can dance the night away with an intimate performance by Grandmaster Flash, along with dessert and an open bar inside The Met’s Great Hall, making for an unforgettable conclusion to the evening.
