While flowers top the hat motif at the 41st annual Central Park Conservancy Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon, handbags run the gamut. Luncheon guests this year were carrying pearls and plush, fleece and feathers, bamboo totes, baskets, buckets — we saw a bevy of Birkins in every color from taupe to bright blue.
Double CC logos were so prevalent that somewhere Coco Chanel must have been grinning in the gloaming. Judith Lieber crystal clutches are back, now in shiny shades of emerald and pink. And every member of one threesome was sporting Bottega Veneta’s popular multicolor Mini Jodi “knot hobo.”
