Stormy weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of a glamorous crowdof almost 250 guests at this year’s Jay Soirée – The Delmonico Way on September 23rd. Inspired by the iconic Financial District landmark which just reopened this September to grand accolades, the dazzling fundraiser was hosted by Delmonico’s 3rd Generation Partner & global brand officer Max Tucci and co-chaired by Kim and Mitchell Berns, Suzanne and Rich Clary, Jenny and Chris Marinak, Lindsay Bello Martin and Tim Martin and Emily and Brian Wells.
Proceeds benefited the award-winning non-profit Jay Heritage Center (JHC), stewards of the Jay Estate, a 23-acre National Historic Landmark site in Rye, New York.
Inspired by the star-studded celebrities and dignitaries who once frequented “The Restaurant That Made New York” everyone brought out the glitz with a modern twist to honor Delmonico’s renaissance. Luxe bouquets of hot pink dahlias by Rex Todd Rogers dressed the tables. Guests included legendary EGOT composer Alan Menken and his wife Janis, racing star Travis Shumake, San Domenico’s Marisa May, and sports commentator Ian Rapoport and his wife Leah.
Auctioneer Lucas Hunt leda spirited paddle-raise towards matching a $500,000 challenge grant from the Wachenheim Foundation. Other generous sponsors and donors included Variety Cruises who offered a bespoke cruise of the Greek Isles, Andrea Martone, and Wathnes whose famous umbrellas came in handy on the way home!
